You have heard the term curb appeal many times. The first impression a potential buyer has of your home is from the curb. If the landscaping isn't adequate, if plants are dead or missing, or the overall look is unkempt, a potential buyer won't even get out of the car.
Dead plants and flowers make a worse impression that no plants or flowers. This is your opportunity to do things right. Buy flowers, very colorful flowers. Red, yellows and blues will cheer up any front yard. Don't plant flowers too close together, give them a little room to spread out. While at the garden center look for a yard ornament, something like a small fountain or gazing ball will add interest and color to the front yard.
